Integrative medicine weaves traditional medical wisdom into conventional medical science. A patient’s mind, body, spirit and community are evaluated in health and illness to enhance the body’s innate healing potential.
Integrative medicine emphasizes less invasive, less expensive, and more natural treatments whenever possible. Conventional therapies are not rejected and alternative and complementary therapies are evaluated critically for safety and efficacy through valid scientific studies.
The ultimate goal of optimal health is focused on the root of medical issues. Integrative medicine combines the use of nutrition, supplements, herbal medicine, mind-body medicine, stress reduction, and many other traditional philosophies individualized to each patient.
